Maaret Pyhäjärvi’s Summary

Having worked as a tester, test manager, test consultant and teacher of software testing at a university, I continue to be deeply committed to taking area of testing forward by learning more and sharing what I have learned.

Special interests are in improving focus of testing activities to provide more effective and efficient testing, professionalism in testing and developing testing professional skills, agile system testing and providing testing services to different kinds of stakeholders: customers, end-users, managers, developers just to mention a few.

Even though I do not value it that much, I have ISEB certificates in software testing, both Foundation and Practitioner. I was involved with ISTQB certification working parties, representing Finland for Foundation and Expert levels, until I decided that open certification schemes would better fit my goals of good use of time.
