Marko Nieminen's Summary
I have a masters degree in Sport Coaching and Fitness Testing, Minor in Psychology and Sports Psychology courses. Eagerness to learn more about sport has led me to university studies and scientific research (see below). In order to get more holistic approach to sport coaching, I have also made efforts to gain knowledge about the mental side of sport - beside education, I'm a member of Finnish Sport Psychological Association (SUPY). Furthermore, I'm also a big believer in sports technology, e.g. motion analysis and biofeedback systems. My previous work experience (10 + years) is ICT-related and includes mainly programming, user interface designing and video presentation designing.
I am open to new challenges (job/research opportunities).
CURRENT ACTIVITIES:
- Strength and condition coaching (part-time)
- Ongoing sport psychology study, which topic is related to young athletes' self confidence.
