Oulu University Teacher Training School is part of the Faculty of Education at the University of Oulu, Finland. Our history dates back to 1609 when Pedagogy of Oulu was founded. Midnight Sun Summer School concluded today with a cake and coffee celebration and the awarding of certificates. Throughout the week, we had the valuable opportunity to delve into education and leadership from various perspectives, gaining insights into the educational systems of different countries. We have formed many new connections with individuals from around the world. We return home enriched with a wealth of new knowledge and insights, and as we discussed during the seminar, we have all experienced personal growth over the course of the week. In the afternoon, we had the exciting opportunity to explore participants' experiences and thoughts during a dynamic academic playground session. The speeches were highly engaging, sparking lively discussions. Today’s theme was increasing staff members’ well-being and group spirit. Instead of spending the day at the university, we enjoyed our time outdoors! 🌞 We participated in inspiring activities in Ainola Park and had time to relax in nature. We also visited Oulu’s famous Toripolliisi statue. The theme of the day is Pedagogical Leadership. Today, we enjoyed fascinating lectures on leadership and the University of Oulu's Generation AI project. We also had the opportunity to share our thoughts with each other through engaging group work, lively discussions, and a Q&A session. Today, we kicked off the Midnight Sun Summer School with great enthusiasm! 🤩 This year’s theme is leadership and management, and we’re excited to dive into it! We started the day by learning about the Finnish education system and teacher training. After that, we were treated to a couple of engaging and insightful lectures on leadership and school-based wellbeing interventions. The evening culminated with a guided city sightseeing tour of Oulu, followed by a memorable Midnight Sun Welcome Dinner at the Restaurant Toripolliisi. 👌🏽 #unioulutts #unioulu #finnisheducation #educationfinland #teachertraining #misu2024
